About The Position
Allergy, Asthma, Sinus Centers of Long Island is seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a part-time role in their Allergy Division. The LPN will support physicians and provide exceptional care to patients of all ages, focusing on building relationships and making a difference in patient health and well-being. The role involves a Saturday schedule from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Requirements
- Current LPN license in NY state
- CPR/BLS certification
- Strong communication and patient education skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient setting

- Knowledge of allergy, asthma, and immunology care
Responsibilities
- Room patients and obtain medical histories and vital signs
- Assist physicians during examinations and allergy-related procedures
- Administer allergy injections (immunotherapy) and monitor patients for reactions
- Perform or assist with allergy testing, such as skin prick testing
- Educate patients on allergy management, medications, and treatment plans
- Document patient information in electronic medical records (EMRs)
- Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-up care
- Refill medications and communicate with pharmacies as directed by providers
- Recognize and respond to allergic reactions and emergencies, including anaphylaxis
- Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and infection-control standards
