About The Position

Centurion Health partners with the Georgia Department of Corrections to provide comprehensive medical and behavioral healthcare services to individuals in custody. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Hancock State Prison provides direct patient care and supports daily clinical operations within a fast-paced correctional healthcare environment. This role is well-suited for a nurse who values routine, teamwork, and delivering consistent care in a structured setting.

Requirements

• Active LPN license in Georgia or compact license (must be in good standing)
• Current CPR certification (must be active)
• Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a structured environment

Nice To Haves

• Experience in one or more of the following preferred: Behavioral Health, ER, Med-Surg, or Correctional Healthcare

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care within scope of practice
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered
• Monitor patient conditions and report changes to RN or provider
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Assist with intake, sick call, and chronic care clinics
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team members
• Follow all clinical protocols, safety procedures, and facility policies
