About The Position
Centurion Health partners with the Georgia Department of Corrections to provide comprehensive medical and behavioral healthcare services to individuals in custody. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Clayton Transitional Center provides direct patient care and supports daily clinical operations within a structured correctional healthcare setting. This role is ideal for a nurse who values consistency, strong routines, and working within a collaborative, team-based environment.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience in behavioral health, correctional, or ER
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license | Compact (MSL) or Georgia (SL) | Must be active and valid
- Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or BLS | Must be active
- Ability to obtain security clearance via the GADOC, this may include drug screen and criminal background check
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care within scope of practice
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes to RN or provider
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team members
- Follow all clinical protocols, safety procedures, and facility policies
- Assist with intake, sick call, and chronic care clinics as needed
