About The Position

Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) is implementing minimum Nurse to Patient Ratios (mNPRs) to enhance nursing practice and strengthen quality of care. mNPRs set the minimum number of nurses providing care to patients on a given unit, developed in partnership with the Ministry of Health, the BC Nurses’ Union (BCNU) and health organizations. VCH is committed to fostering quality practice and learning environments. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) on the Acute Medicine Unit at UBC Hospital in Vancouver, BC. The LPN practices within a client and family centred care model, adhering to the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) standards of practice.
