About The Position

We're currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Med/Surg – Acute Care team on a PRN basis. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you'll play a key role in delivering safe, effective, and patient-centered care. Working closely with the interdisciplinary care team, you will assess patients, carry out treatment plans, and provide vital support to patients and families throughout their healthcare journey. Flexibility and teamwork are essential in this fast-paced, acute care environment.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Required)
  • Current LPN or LPN-IV licensure with the Mississippi Board of Nursing (Required)
  • BLS certification (Required)
  • At least 1 year of LPN experience (Required)

Responsibilities

  • Deliver care that meets the physical, emotional, and cultural needs of each patient
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to create and implement individualized care plans
  • Perform treatments and administer medications within scope of LPN/LPN-IV certification
  • Assist in admissions, discharges, and patient transfers
  • Provide clear and compassionate patient and family education
  • Accurately document patient care, conditions, and any adverse events
  • Respond to emergencies, including initiating resuscitative measures as needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment
  • Comply with infection control policies and hospital procedures
  • Mentor and coach fellow team members when needed
  • Participate in continuing education to maintain clinical competencies
  • Perform other duties as assigned
