About The Position

Maine Veterans’ Homes – Scarborough is seeking Per Diem Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our team and help meet our weekend staffing needs. This is a great opportunity for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) looking for flexible per diem work while making a meaningful difference in the lives of Maine’s Veterans and their families. Our per diem LPNs help provide coverage for weekends, holidays, and time-off requests for our full-time and part-time employees. Requirements

Current Maine Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing
Ability to effectively understand and communicate verbally and in writing in English
Basic computer skills
Work an average of 8 hours per two-week pay period
Work a minimum of 16 weekend hours per month

Responsibilities

Supervises the activities of direct care staff
Promotes the highest quality of nursing services
Ensures plans of care are fulfilled according to Maine Veterans’ Homes quality standards
Provide coverage for weekends, holidays, and time-off requests for full-time and part-time employees
