About The Position

Red Cliffs Health and Rehab is a skilled nursing facility in St. George, Utah, providing long-term and rehabilitation care. The facility is expanding its nursing team and is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to care for residents, including geriatric patients who require 24/7 care. The role is PRN and may include 12-hour shifts from 6 AM to 6 PM or partial shifts. Availability and facility needs will be discussed during the interview.

Requirements

• LPN license in good standing.
• Effective communication skills.
• Willingness to learn local, state, and federal laws and regulations regarding long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Order medications, equipment, and supplies as prescribed.
• Prepare and administer treatments and medications as ordered by the physician.
• Notify the resident's physician and/or family members when there is a change in the resident's condition.
• Provide professional nursing services as necessary, including tube feedings, suction, catheterization, dressing changes, packs, and irrigations.
• Continuously observe and monitor seriously ill residents.
• Advocate for patients and ensure other health care team members provide care according to residents' care plans and personal wishes.
• Complete necessary charting accurately and in a timely manner.
