About The Position

University Hospitals Avon Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide hands-on, patient-centered care under RN supervision. The role supports treatments, assessments, and individualized care plans that help patients progress toward healing and stability. The hospital is operated jointly with Lifepoint Health and University Hospitals and provides inpatient rehabilitation care to the Avon community.

The position is part-time and scheduled for days. LPNs provide safe, compassionate bedside care, administer medications, support patient assessments and care-plan updates, and use pain management, patient education, and rehabilitation interventions. Timely documentation and a focus on patient safety and quality are essential.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse program.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Nice To Haves

• IV certification is highly preferred; if not already held, it must be obtained within six months.
