Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Day Shift, Home Health
About The Position
Adventist HealthCare Home Health seeks to hire a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing. This role involves completing documentation, contributing to patient assessments, making appropriate interventions for safe and effective care, collaborating with the RN case manager and other team members, and working with managers and schedulers to maintain productivity levels. The LPN will also maintain an accurate load sheet and explore service needs while providing care consistent with AHC's mission and values.
Requirements
- Valid LPN license in Maryland
- Minimum of three years’ experience in Med/Surg nursing in a supervisory setting within the past five years (Two years must be under the supervision of an RN)
- Valid Driver’s License with agency insurance requirements
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Responsibilities
- Completes documentation requirements on patient visits to ensure timely accurate billing
- Contributes to the patient’s physical and environmental assessment
- Makes appropriate interventions to provide for safe and effective care
- Collaborates with RN case manager and other team members to maximize effectiveness of patient care plan
- Collaborates with managers and schedulers to maintain adequate productivity levels
- Maintains accurate load sheet to facilitate agency knowledge of visiting capacity
- Explores service needs, provide care consistent with AHC mission and values
