About The Position

Eventide Fargo is currently seeking a Part-Time LPN to work the day shift. This position offers 12 or 8-hour shift schedules with a set rotation for every 3rd weekend/every other weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) and includes a holiday rotation. A shift differential is added to the base wage, with weekend hours receiving an additional $2. The LPN Charge Nurse is responsible for providing the highest degree of nursing care, consistent with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, as well as Eventide's philosophy, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Must have an active ND LPN License or be able to obtain upon hire

Responsibilities

  • Assesses residents' health status and needs through physical assessments, observations, and interviews on a continuing basis.
  • Plans, implements, and evaluates residents' individualized plans of care, updating them as necessary. Plans of care include interdisciplinary care plans, physician orders, and NA-R care plans.
  • Administers medications and treatments and monitors their effectiveness.
  • Provides direct nursing care to residents as needed, adhering to established nursing policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Provides accurate documentation in residents’ records according to established resident care policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Provides effective leadership to subordinate staff, which may include disciplinary measures.
  • Ensures that work responsibilities of subordinate staff are completed thoroughly and accurately within scheduled shifts and according to established nursing policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Provides information, education, and support for residents and their families.
  • Ensures adequate staffing levels for a scheduled shift and assists in finding replacements when needed.
  • Communicates the needs of the residents to all resident care staff on the unit.
  • Interacts with physicians and advanced practitioners and health care facilities as needed, according to the needs of the residents.
  • Continually updates nursing skills and knowledge by attending in-services, continuing education programs, and staff meetings.
  • Assists with resident care conferences.
  • Assists in orientation/training of new team members.
  • Encourages and assists residents to attain their highest physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.
  • Is responsible for promptly reporting any incidents or evidence of abuse, neglect, or violation of resident’s rights per policy.
  • Complies with rules and regulations as set forth by the Department of Health and the Center for Medicare/Medicaid services.
  • Assumes accountability for management of their individual electronic timecard on a daily basis.
