About The Position

Eventide Fargo is currently seeking a Part-Time LPN to work the day shift. This role involves providing nursing care consistent with current standards and Eventide's philosophy. The LPN Charge Nurse assesses residents' health status, plans and implements care, administers medications, and provides direct nursing care. They are also responsible for accurate documentation, leadership to subordinate staff, resident and family education, ensuring adequate staffing, and collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals. Continuous updating of nursing skills and knowledge is expected, along with assisting in orientation and training of new team members. The role also includes encouraging resident well-being, reporting incidents of abuse or neglect, and complying with regulatory requirements.

  • Active ND LPN License or ability to obtain upon hire

Responsibilities

  • Assesses residents' health status and needs through physical assessments, observations, and interviews on a continuing basis.
  • Plans, implements, and evaluates residents' individualized plans of care.
  • Updates and makes appropriate changes in plans of care whenever necessary.
  • Administers medications and treatments and monitors each for effectiveness.
  • Provides direct nursing care to residents whenever necessary according to established nursing policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Provides accurate documentation in the residents’ records according to established resident care policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Provides effective leadership to subordinate staff, which may include disciplinary measures.
  • Ensures that work responsibilities of subordinate staff are completed thoroughly and accurately within scheduled shifts and according to established nursing policies, procedures and standards.
  • Provides information, education, and support for residents and their families.
  • Ensures adequate staffing levels for a scheduled shift and will assist in finding replacements when needed.
  • Communicates the needs of the residents to all resident care staff on the unit.
  • Interacts with physicians and advanced practitioners and health care facilities as needed, according to the needs of the residents.
  • Continually updates nursing skills and knowledge by attending in-services, continuing education programs, and staff meetings.
  • Assists with resident care conferences.
  • Assists in orientation/training of new team members.
  • Encourages and assists residents’ to attain their highest physical, mental, psychosocial well-being.
  • Responsible for promptly reporting any incidents or evidence of abuse, neglect or violation of resident’s rights per policy.
  • Complies with rules and regulations as set forth by the Department of Health and the Center for Medicare/Medicaid services.
  • Assumes accountability for management of their individual electronic timecard on a daily basis.
