About The Position
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Concordia Senior Living, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our residents in a skilled nursing facility. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the daily living activities of residents while ensuring their comfort and safety. Requirements
- Current and valid LPN license.
- Completion of an accredited practical nursing program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong clinical assessment abilities.
- Effective communication skills.
- Compassion and empathy.
- Time management skills.
- Familiarity with EHR systems.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting.
- Certification in geriatric nursing or related specialty.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and document residents' health status and report any changes to the nursing staff.
- Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents and their families.
- Participate in care plan meetings and contribute to the development of individualized care strategies.
