About The Position

As BHN expands its services statewide, we are seeking a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. This role is crucial in providing essential support, including basic medical care, health monitoring, and medication management for clients in recovery from substance use disorders. The LPN will maintain accurate documentation, collaborate with various healthcare professionals, and contribute to a safe and recovery-oriented environment.

Requirements

• Active licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse by the Massachusetts Board of Registration (required).
• Experience with substance use disorder programs.

Nice To Haves

• Working knowledge of ethics and legal parameters of working with substance abuse clients (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Play an essential support role in providing basic medical care, health monitoring and medication management for clients in recovery from substance use disorders.
• Maintain accurate nursing notes, med logs, incident reports, and progress notes.
• Document communication with providers, referrals, and follow-up care.
• Collaborate with case managers, primary care providers, outpatient addiction treatment centers, and mental health professionals.
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate with clinical and recovery staff.
• Help maintain a structured, safe, and recovery-oriented environment.
