Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
About The Position

This role involves providing comprehensive care to geriatric patients with diverse needs including wound care, infection control management, IVs, wound vacs, gastrostomy tubes, and medication management.
Requirements
- Have a current state LPN License.
- Follow State regulations as well as company policies and guidelines.
- Must pass criminal background check.
Nice To Haves
- 1-year experience as an LPN, in a community-based care setting
- LPN students who meet certain criteria may be considered for this position!
Responsibilities
- Follow Physician orders and provide detailed assessment data for quality resident care
- Record a patient’s medical history accurately
- Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate etc.
- Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc.
- Document any change in patients’ condition, notify Physician, supervisor and document
- Administer injections, prescribed medications, enemas etc., clean and dress wounds and assist with other basic medical care tasks
- Collect samples for lab testing as assigned
- Provide emotional and psychological support when needed
- Communicate with patients’ family or friends to provide advice, comfort and release instructions
