About The Position

Easterseals PORT Health (ESPH) is seeking compassionate and motivated part-time Licensed Practical Nurses to join our Virginia REACH team. This role supports youth with intellectual/developmental disabilities and mental health needs at our Youth Crisis Therapeutic Home (YCTH) in Culpeper, VA. The position offers a $5,000 sign-on and retention bonus for nurses working every other weekend. ESPH's mission is to empower individuals and strengthen communities, and this role is integral to providing much-needed support to families.

Requirements

• Current valid, unrestricted license as a Practical Nurse in the state of Virginia
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• A valid driver's license and car insurance for occasional transportation to appointments

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of MH and I/DD systems of care preferred
• Experience in crisis prevention and intervention services preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate medical and nursing support to youth with intellectual/developmental disabilities and co-occurring behavioral health needs
• Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with clinical protocols
• Conduct nursing assessments
• Educate and empower individuals regarding their mental and physical health
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, person-centered care
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation of all nursing services and observations
• Uphold compliance with all regulatory and clinical care standards to ensure the highest quality of service
