About The Position

Aspire Health and Community Services is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Community Crisis Stabilization (CCS) team. In this role, you will provide specialized nursing care to adults in a 24-hour crisis stabilization program that serves as a medically necessary, voluntary, and less restrictive alternative to inpatient psychiatric hospitalization. Our CCS program features a newly renovated 10-bed unit where individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis receive short-term stabilization and support. Typical stays range from 3 to 5 days but are flexible based on each individual's needs. This is a Part-Time position with 16 Hours per Week, available on Saturday & Sunday from 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM. LPN shift differentials are as follows: 7a – 11p (Sat & Sun only) = Base + $1.00, 11p – 7a (ANY day of the week) = Base + $2.00, and 3-11pm (Monday through Friday) = Base + $1.00. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing program (Diploma/Associates/or Bachelor’s degree)
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) must be licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Registration
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound clinical judgment, and provide compassionate, high-quality care

Nice To Haves

  • One year of experience in an acute mental health and/or co-occurring disorders setting preferred
  • Familiarity with recovery oriented treatment approaches for individuals with severe mental illness preferred

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and document clients' self-administration of medications while ensuring safe medication practices.
  • Monitor clients' physical health needs and coordinate acute medical care with direct care staff as needed.
  • Facilitate health and wellness groups and activities that promote recovery and overall well-being.
  • Deliver strength-based, solution-focused nursing interventions and support individuals in developing Wellness Recovery Action Plans (WRAP) and safety plans.
  • Complete assigned clinical documentation and participate in required trainings to support high quality care.
