About The Position

Northwest Specialty is seeking a compassionate, patient-focused LPN to join our dynamic Urgent Care team! In this role, you will work alongside experienced providers and clinical staff in a busy urgent care setting, providing high-quality care and support to patients of all ages under the scope of your license.

Requirements

  • Demonstrates eligibility for employment in the United States.
  • Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
  • Aware of standards of cleaning and performs in accordance with them.
  • Ability to relate and work effectively with others.
  • Demonstrated skills in verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patient care and to meet documentation standards.
  • Is aware of standard and performs in accordance with them.
  • A graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Current LPN licensure in the State of Idaho is required.
  • Ability to complete internally provided radiology and IV training courses within six months of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10 codes and medical terminology preferred.
  • Previous experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Rooming patients
  • Obtaining and documenting vital signs
  • Administering injections
  • Performing venipuncture and specimen processing
  • Conducting urinalysis and EKG testing
  • Starting IV’s
  • Assisting with in-office procedures
  • Preparing and cleaning procedure rooms
  • Maintaining proper infection control standards
  • Safely disposing of biohazard and sharps waste
  • Ensuring clinical supplies are fully stocked and organized
