Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), full-time 2nd shift
About The Position
We are hiring a dedicated, compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide resident-focused, quality care for elder Franciscan sisters in a convent home for Franciscan sisters in Buffalo (Pine Ridge and Doat Street, Cheektowaga area, near Villa Maria College campus). This is a full-time nurse position on the afternoon shift (2:00 pm - 10:30 pm). The role involves managing multiple priorities, assisting in overseeing Nurse Aides, and ensuring the highest quality of care and support for the sisters. Employees work together to support the religious life of the sisters by providing a warm and caring convent environment, fostering quality interpersonal experiences and meaningful interactions.
Requirements
- Current license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state where the convent home is located.
- Current license in good standing.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience preferred.
- Long-term care experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Direct patient-centered care of elder Franciscan sisters.
- Manage multiple priorities.
- Assist in overseeing Nurse Aides.
- Ensure sisters are receiving the highest quality of care and support.
- Assist other nursing staff with resident care activities and services.
- Distribute medication.
- Maintain narcotic records.
- Maintain resident records.
- Perform charting duties.
