About The Position

Centerpoint Medical Group is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for their Centerpoint Family Medicine location in Winchester, KY. This full-time position offers a Monday-Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Centerpoint Family Medicine provides care for children and adults, treating various conditions such as colds, flu, diabetes, hypertension, and infections. They also offer same-day sick appointments and focus on building real relationships with patients.

Requirements

• Current LPN license
• Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school
• Good standing with the Board of Health Professions
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT codes, insurance benefits and healthcare background

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice, as supervised and delegated by a registered nurse.
• Contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN.
• Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care.
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Monitors, documents, and communicates patient's status and reactions to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and families.
• May administer medication.
• Documents patient care given.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Schedules appointments and procedures as ordered by the provider.
• Obtains insurance re-authorizations as requested for testing and scheduled procedures.
