About The Position
Cascades at Orchard Park is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse for PRN day shifts in Orem, Utah. This on-call position offers flexible scheduling, with shifts picked up as coverage is needed. The schedule is 6 AM–6 PM, and nurses are required to work at least one shift per month. There is no weekend requirement. The LPN provides compassionate, professional nursing care to geriatric residents who require 24/7 support. The employer provides personalized training and ongoing support to help the nurse feel confident in the role and continue developing professionally.
Requirements
- Current LPN license in good standing.
- Flexibility, dependability, and a team-player attitude.
- Strong communication skills.
- Willingness to uphold care regulations.
- Pick up at least one shift per month.
Responsibilities
- Order and manage medications, equipment, and supplies as prescribed.
- Prepare and administer treatments and medications as ordered by physicians.
- Notify physicians and/or family members when a resident’s condition changes.
- Provide nursing services such as tube feedings, suction, catheterization, wound care, dressing changes, packs, and irrigations as necessary.
- Continuously observe and monitor seriously ill residents.
- Advocate for residents and ensure the care team’s services align with residents’ care plans and personal wishes.
- Complete required documentation and charting accurately and promptly.
- Provide compassionate, professional nursing care to geriatric residents requiring 24/7 support.
