About The Position

NWA Psychiatry is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time position to join their expanding practice. The role involves providing direct or indirect nursing care to patients with urgent, emergent, or potential health problems, utilizing basic nursing principles and ethics, and participating in the organization and management of the physicians’ practice. The position is based in a personalized environment focused on quality patient experiences and employee development.

Requirements

• Current license
• Graduation certificate from accredited LPN school of nursing
• Current state licensure

Nice To Haves

• 12 – 18 months related psychiatry experience

Responsibilities

• Providing direct or indirect nursing care to patients who present with urgent, emergent, or potential health problems
• Utilizes knowledge of basic nursing principles, practices and ethics
• Participates in the organization and management of the physicians’ practice
• Assist physician in patient education, revising daily schedules, obtaining charts and charge tickets, locating labs and x-ray reports
• Assure patient health record is accurate and current
• Schedule diagnostic tests and procedures; notice patients of test results, schedule follow-up appointments as appropriate
• Triage patients to ensure productive departmental flow
