Requirements
- Current Massachusetts Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment
Nice To Haves
- Pediatric or outpatient experience preferred, but not required
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients in an outpatient setting
- Perform telephone triage, assess patient symptoms, and provide guidance to families according to established protocols
- Document telephone encounters accurately and communicate patient concerns to providers as appropriate
- Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and patient information
- Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments as ordered
- Assist providers with examinations and procedures
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and health concerns
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
- Support patient flow and contribute to a positive patient experience
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and fellow clinical staff
