About The Position

The LPN job commences to integrate technical skills and theoretical knowledge to meet the needs of the patient and family. This role assists the health care team with the prevention of illness and injury, maintenance of wellness, and provision of comfort. This role also provides direction, education, and begins to assume leadership responsibilities at the unit level. The LPN job delivers and accurately documents direct, age-specific care to a patient or group of patients based on medical orders and an integrated, multidisciplinary plan of care. This role safely administers prescribed medications, identifying incompatibilities and/or interactions. We're looking for a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to join our pediatric allergy team in a rewarding day shift position focused on allergy testing and allergy injections. In this role, you'll work directly with pediatric patients and their families, helping children manage allergies so they can breathe easier, feel better, and participate more fully in school, sports, and everyday activities. From administering allergy shots and assisting with allergy testing to providing education and reassurance to families, you'll play a vital role in improving the lives of the patients we serve.

Requirements

  • LPN licensure in Virginia or eligible
  • Current LPN Licensure in Virginia
  • AHA BLS Certification or equivalent
  • Graduate from a Board of Nursing approved School of Practical Nursing

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a LPN in either an acute care setting or as applicable to area of practice
