About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) provides appropriate nursing care on the nursing unit as directed by a Registered Nurse. The role includes gathering and reporting patient data, carrying out orders, and performing therapeutic procedures in an age- and population-appropriate manner consistent with PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines. Other related duties may be assigned or requested.

Requirements

• Current LPN/LVN licensure in the state where the hospital is located, or compact licensure if the state participates.
• Current BLS certification; AHA-approved BLS certification is required within 90 days of employment.
• Current IV certification within 90 days of employment, if required by state regulations.

Nice To Haves

• One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care as directed by an RN on the nursing unit.
