About The Position
The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN) provides appropriate nursing care on the nursing unit as directed by an RN. Care must be appropriate to the patient’s age and population and consistent with PAM Health’s policies, procedures, and guidelines. The nurse gathers and reports data, carries out orders, performs therapeutic procedures, and completes other related duties as assigned or requested.
Requirements
- Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state where the hospital resides.
- Current BLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience.
- Prior experience in emergency or critical care environments.
- Comfort working with vents, trachs, PICC lines, and similar equipment.
- Two years of experience in direct patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide appropriate nursing care as directed by an RN on the nursing unit.
- Gather and report patient data.
- Carry out orders.
- Perform therapeutic procedures in an age- and population-appropriate manner and in accordance with PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
