About The Position

Ottumwa Regional Health Center is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the Labor & Delivery/OB unit. This PRN position involves 12-hour shifts. The Labor & Delivery/OB team operates on a 1:1 nurse to patient ratio, in a unit with 10 beds, a warm environment, dedicated medical staff, and pediatric coverage by a Board Certified provider. Full and part-time employees in this unit rotate every third weekend and major holidays.

Requirements

• Active Iowa RN license (single-state or compact) required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
• Basic Life Support (BLS)

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Labor & Delivery/OB unit.
• Operate on a 1:1 nurse to patient ratio.
• Rotate every third weekend and major holidays (for full and part-time employees).
