About The Position

Ottumwa Regional Health Center is part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare delivery network. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) joining the Labor & Delivery/OB team, you will be part of a vital mission dedicated to making communities healthier. The Labor & Delivery/OB team operates on a 1:1 nurse to patient ratio and has 10 beds with an invitingly warm environment, dedicated medical staff, and pediatric coverage by a Board Certified provider. Full and part time employees in this unit rotate every third weekend and major holidays.

Requirements

Current state LPN license
Degree from an accredited nursing school
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Advanced Cardiopulmonary Life Support (ACLS) within six (6) months of hire
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within six (6) months of hire
NRP within six (6) months of hire
Recent LPN experience

Nice To Haves

Two (2) to Three (3) years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
One (1) year of Medical/Surgical or Critical Care nursing experience

Responsibilities

Provide care as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the Labor & Delivery/OB unit.
Operate on a 1:1 nurse to patient ratio.
Rotate every third weekend and major holidays (for full and part-time employees).
