This role involves preparing and rooming patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs and documenting health information. The LPN will perform laboratory procedures, assist physicians with procedures and surgeries, and administer medications under physician orders. They will also provide basic patient education, manage follow-up care, and communicate with the healthcare team. Advanced clinical tasks, such as suture removal, catheterization, and wound care, may be performed under supervision. The role also includes maintaining exam rooms, stocking supplies, and ensuring equipment is functional and clean. Participation in patient-centered initiatives and quality improvement activities is expected. The LPN must demonstrate knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate care.
