This full-time position prepares and rooms patients for examination by obtaining vital signs and documenting pertinent health information. The LPN performs laboratory procedures, assists physicians with procedures and surgeries, and administers medications and IV therapy under physician orders. They provide basic patient education, follow through with necessary requests, and communicate with the healthcare team. Advanced clinical tasks such as suture removal, catheterization, and complex wound care may be performed. The role also involves organizing and preparing exam rooms, stocking supplies, maintaining equipment, and participating in patient-centered initiatives and quality improvement activities. The LPN must demonstrate knowledge of age-specific care and growth and development principles.
