The role involves one-to-one client care in a private duty setting, meaning nurses work full shifts (8s, 10s, or 12s) with a single client for the entire shift. Nurses work with local clients nearby, minimizing commutes. Common diagnoses encountered include TBI, CP, Premature Birth, Spinal Muscle Atrophy, and Epilepsy. LPNs/LVNs with experience in hospitals, long-term care, and schools possess directly transferable skills suitable for this role.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited and approved nursing program, as indicated by school transcript or diploma.
- A current nursing license in good standing in the state.
- Directly transferable skills from hospital, long-term care, or school nursing experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one client care in a home setting.
- Work full shifts (8's, 10's, or 12's) with a single client.
- Manage common diagnoses such as TBI, CP, Premature Birth, Spinal Muscle Atrophy, and Epilepsy.
