Requirements

• Graduate of an LPN program
• Current LPN to practice in the state of North Carolina
• BCLS
• 6 years clinical experience
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action

Responsibilities

• Surgical Scheduling
• assisting providers with patient care
• obtain prior approvals and return voicemails
• Works directly with the physician in clinic
• Rooming patients
• dressing changes
• assist with procedures
• Collects and documents patient intake data
• Maintains accurate and complete patient records
• Provides patient support that reflects considerations for emotional, physical, social, cultural, religious and economic influences
• Assists with routine clinic support activities
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient
• Maintains appropriate, safe and therapeutic environment per clinic policy
• Coordinates nursing staff to facilitate accessibility and continuity of care
• Coordinates requests of physicians and office staff in regard to patient activities and needs
• Athena Super User role
• Assist with Quality Controls of all Point of Care testing
• Provide support for staffing when management is unavailable
• Decision recommendations for staffing overtime and low census to be communicated to manager for final approvals
• Assist with orientation and training of personnel and students
• Participates and attends meetings as required and/or assigned
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested
• Supply ordering
