About The Position

Under direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, applies the nursing process to deliver basic, safe, therapeutic care and administering medications for individuals or groups of patients. May provide patient care in a specialty area but not limited to: medical/surgical, labor and delivery, PEDS, and the emergency room. May work with high risk patients. This posting is for various ambulatory clinics which include East Charleston QC, Blue Diamond QC, and Sunset QC, but may be used to fill other locations. Requirements

Current License by the Nevada State Board of Nursing to Practice as a Practical Nurse
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification accepted by the American Heart Association (AHA)
Two (2) years of recent LPN clinic or urgent care experience.
High school or GED
One (1) year of clinical experience as a LPN.

Skill in: Proper medication administration (except epidural and intravenous route); delivery of patient care; performing basic life support; maintaining sterile technique; using equipment associated with specialty area and the nursing process; communicating with a wide variety of people from diverse socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds under stressful conditions; establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all personnel contacted in the course of duties; efficient, effective and safe use of equipment.
Mobility to work in a typical clinical setting and use standard equipment, including stamina to remain standing and/or walk for extended periods of time, and strength to examine and treat varied patients, vision to read printed materials and a VDT screen, and hearing and speech to communicate effectively in person and over the telephone.
Strength and agility to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
