About The Position
We are hiring for: Licensed Practical Nurse (IDD LPN) – Office Days Type: Regular If you are a positive and personable individual looking for a satisfying and fun opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of people with intellectual, developmental disabilities, and people facing mental health, and substance use challenges, join our team at RHA Health Services! Location: Main office is out of Clevland, NC and all canidates must be willing to travel to our group homes within a 20 miunute commute from Clevland such as in Salisbury, NC. Employment Type: Full-time, Day Shift Compensation: $32/hr+ Incentives: No sign-on bonus is being offered at this time. No relocation packaged offered. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm This is an office-based position that supports our group home operations and requires routine visits to our residential homes. It is ideal for nurses seeking a more structured and steady-paced environment outside of traditional fast-paced hospital or SNF settings. Candidates with prior IDD and case management experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited licensed nurse program
- Current nursing license with no restrictions to practice nursing.
- Current CPR Certification or eligibility to obtain certification
- Must be able to communicate effectively with Interdisciplinary Team Members, as well as the people supported and their families
- Must be able to work independently, be organized, and possess the ability to prioritize work tasks
- Complete criminal background
- Name checked in the registries. (OIG exclusions database, Child Abuse Registry, and Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities)
- Drug testing
- Education verification and other credentialing based on position requirements.
- Proof of employment history or references (if required)
- Proof of driver's license, driver's insurance, and vehicle, IF required for providing transportation for individuals.

Responsibilities
- Provide holistic nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Assist the Registered Nurse in delivering quality nursing services to persons supported
- Provide health related training to unlicensed personnel
- Administer medications and treatments or assist the person supported with medication administration
- Assist with ensuring preventative and routine medical appointments are scheduled
- Conduct medication closest assessments
- Collect health related data
- Observe for and report any abnormal health related findings to the physician
- Communicate with physicians, pharmacies, medical suppliers, and the Interdisciplinary Team
- Advocate for the people supported and assist with developing community supports to promote optimal health for the people supported
