About The Position

Janco, Inc. is seeking a skilled and licensed Plumber to join our team. This full-time position involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing and heating systems and fixtures. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in plumbing techniques, supplies, tools, and applicable codes, with the ability to read blueprints and interpret specifications. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent time management, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Safety is paramount, and adherence to all regulations and procedures is expected.

Requirements

  • Must have plumbing experience in mechanical/HVAC.
  • Knowledgeable of plumbing techniques, supplies, and tools.
  • Knowledgeable of applicable codes and requirements.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Read blueprints and piping diagrams.
  • Ability to well and solder pipes for repairs or installations.
  • Mechanical knowledge and basic contracting skills.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Work well independently and as a team member.
  • Detailed oriented, organized, and punctual.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
  • Good work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs, no restrictions of movement/motion, climb, crawl, and work with heights.
  • Must be able to walk or stand for extensive periods of time.
  • Master or Journeyman Plumbers License in the State of NH
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Must maintain required licenses

Nice To Haves

  • State of NH Gasfitter’s License preferred

Responsibilities

  • Reports directly to the Master Plumber.
  • Communicate and work with Master Plumber to identify the best solutions and progress on jobs/tasks.
  • Install, repair and maintain plumbing & heating systems and fixtures.
  • Perform routine inspections, diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues and units.
  • Interpret blueprints and building specifications required for each job site.
  • Utilize and work with copper, steel, cast iron, PVC, CPVC, PEX, and other piping.
  • Keep detailed reports of work done and manage work log.
  • Keep up to date with applicable current safety regulations and requirements.
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
