About The Position
The Staff Physical Therapy Assistant is a licensed practitioner who provides direct patient treatment services as delegated and supervised by a Physical Therapist. The assistant carries out the treatment program according to the plan of care and facility policies and procedures for patient care and treatment. The role treats patients to produce effective outcomes, communicates and assists in resolving problems, demonstrates effective resource utilization critical to operational stability, and participates in performance improvement and program growth.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in science, or other education recognized by the State of Florida as qualifying for Physical Therapy Assistant licensure.
- Florida license as a Physical Therapy Assistant from the Agency of Health Care Administration’s Division of Medical Quality Assurance.
- Current AHA BLS CPR certification.
