About The Position
The Staff Physical Therapy Assistant is a licensed practitioner who provides direct patient treatment services as delegated and supervised by a Physical Therapist. The assistant carries out treatment programs according to the plan of care and facility policies and procedures, treating patients to produce effective outcomes. The role also involves communicating and helping resolve problems, using resources effectively to support operational stability, and participating in performance improvement and program growth. Delray Medical Center describes a supportive, collaborative healthcare environment where team members work with advanced technology and contribute to patient care. The hospital is part of the Palm Beach Health Network and is a 536-bed acute care hospital and state-designated Level I Trauma Center serving southern Palm Beach County.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Science or other education recognized by the State of Florida as qualification for Physical Therapy Assistant licensure.
- Florida license as a Physical Therapy Assistant from the Agency of Health Care Administration’s Division of Medical Quality Assurance.
- Current AHA BLS CPR certification.
