About The Position

Inova Fairfax Hospital is looking for a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (LPTA) to join our outstanding acute care team. This role is Full-Time, Day Shift, Monday-Friday, 9am-5:30pm with rotating weekends and 1 holiday per year requirement. Requirements

Associate degree from a licensed physical therapy assistant program.
Graduate of a licensed physical therapy assistant program, new graduate of a licensed physical therapy assistant program
BLS from the American Heart Association required upon start.
VA License Physical Therapy Assistant required upon start.

Responsibilities

Adheres to department policies regarding time frame, appropriate form, and content of written rehabilitation documentation.
Communicates effectively with patients, family, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors, and outside contacts.
Completes all administrative and other responsibilities in support of the operating unit.
Demonstrates essential skill in the use of treatment modalities, equipment, and protocols.
Performs reassessments according to state and facility guidelines, while adjusting treatment plans accordingly.
May perform additional duties as assigned.
