Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy.
• Current, unencumbered, and active license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Iowa.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Ability to identify and implement components of physical therapy processes.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively and accurately.

Nice To Haves

• Previous outpatient orthopedic physical therapy experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating new patients, developing plans of care, and setting measurable, functional goals.
• Treating patients, addressing their concerns, and providing education on injuries and conditions, progress to reaching desired goals, and probable outcomes.
• Monitoring patient response to treatment and intervention, modifying as necessary, to meet the needs of the patient and attain goals in accordance with treatment plans and physician orders.
• Consulting directly with treating physicians and cultivating effective relationships with referral providers.
• Documenting patient evaluations, re-evaluations, daily progress reports, treatments, and discharges of services in a timely manner, accurately recording billable services.
• Providing high-level care, maintaining patient confidentiality, and complying with all HIPAA rules and regulations.
• Providing physical therapy services to patients in accordance with PT guidelines for professional practices and per ORA clinical policies and standards.
