About The Position

NovaCare is hiring a Maryland-licensed physical therapist assistant for its outpatient orthopedic center in Silver Spring, Maryland. The clinic treats patients of all ages and abilities across orthopedics, concussion, industrial, neuro, sports medicine, and fall prevention. The clinical team provides care intended to maximize function and help patients return to sports, work, and everyday activities. On-site mentorship and orientation are available, including for clinicians beginning their careers. This is a full-time role, with a schedule described as 32–40 hours per week and two evenings per week until 7:30 PM. The final patient is scheduled one hour before closing. Compensation is $32.00–$38.00 per hour, and a $3,000 sign-on bonus is available for full-time licensed PTAs. Benefits are listed for full-time employees working 32 or more hours per week.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program.
Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by CAPTE.
Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license, or license in process.
CPR certification.

Responsibilities

Provide patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist, as mandated by the State Practice Act.
Deliver high-quality physical therapy services in accordance with Select Medical policies and evidence-based best practices, with ongoing clinical support as needed.
Build strong relationships with patients, clinical staff, and other centers to enhance patient outcomes and support collaborative care.
