About The Position

MTM Pharmacy locations are hiring a full-time pharmacy technician who is bilingual in Spanish and English or Vietnamese and English. The role requires multitasking, strong customer service, dedication, kindness toward patients, communication skills, honesty, and hard work. Pharmacy technicians greet and communicate with patients and healthcare providers, support inventory and medication preparation, maintain pharmacy safety and records, and help ensure medications are available to patients and departments. Prior experience as a pharmacy clerk or pharmacy technician is preferred. Availability is needed Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

Greet and communicate promptly with patients and healthcare providers in person and by phone.
Check pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory levels and anticipate needed medications and supplies.
Place and expedite orders, verify receipts, and remove outdated drugs.
Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy in compliance with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Maintain proper storage and security conditions for drugs.
Protect patients and employees by following infection-control policies and procedures.
Read medication orders and prescriptions, prepare labels, and calculate quantities and days' supply.
Fill medications and assemble intravenous solutions and other pharmaceutical therapies.
Record and file physicians’ orders and prescriptions.
Calculate, record, and issue charges.
Deliver medications to patients and departments to ensure medication availability.
Contribute to team efforts by completing related tasks as needed.
