About The Position

This position involves conducting individual and family therapy in an office setting, working with individuals ranging in age from 2 to 21 years old. The role requires working with individuals with a wide range of clinical diagnoses, including autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and behavioral, emotional, and psychiatric challenges. The therapist will be part of an integrated treatment team and will have opportunities for supervision and training in evidence-based practices.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work
  • Previous experience conducting individual and/or family therapy, preferably with children and adolescents, required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Must be adaptable to changing workload.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Available to work a flexible work schedule.
  • Must have the ability to travel to and from work site.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Proficient computer skills and a working knowledge of software programs (i.e. MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Provides individual, family and collateral therapy for assigned individuals, including intakes as needed.
  • Participates in the implementation of at least one specialized evidenced based practice (DBT, TF-CBT, and/or PCIT).
  • Creates initial resiliency plan within 3 sessions and ensures proper documentation is complete.
  • Reviews all Psychiatric evaluations and ensures recommendations are being followed.
  • Assists in hospitalization if required.
