This position is responsible for driving sales in the Vision Center by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, accurate pricing, proper signing, and optimal stock and inventory levels. The role involves budgeting, forecasting sales, and assessing economic trends and community needs. The manager will also oversee the implementation of community outreach programs and encourage associates to be active community members. A key aspect of the role is ensuring compliance with all company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations for the Vision Center. This includes analyzing reports, implementing asset protection and safety controls, conducting reviews, developing action plans for improvement, and directing associates in maintaining confidentiality. The manager will provide supervision and development opportunities for associates, including hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, providing recognition, and fostering a sense of belonging. Additionally, the role ensures the provision of quality eyewear by consulting with and educating members/customers, selecting products, obtaining measurements, verifying prescriptions, performing minor frame repairs, and maintaining optical equipment. The manager will uphold the company's Open Door Policy by addressing associate concerns and suggesting resolutions. They will also coordinate and complete job-related activities by developing stakeholder relationships, supporting initiatives, measuring progress, and demonstrating adaptability. The manager will also act with integrity, upholding high standards of ethics and compliance, and supporting Walmart's goal of becoming a regenerative company by making a positive impact.
