The Licensed Optical Manager is responsible for driving sales in the Vision Center by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, accurate pricing, proper signing, and optimal stock and inventory levels. This role involves budgeting, forecasting sales, and assessing economic trends and community needs. The manager will also oversee the implementation of community outreach programs and encourage associates to be good community members. A key aspect of the role is ensuring compliance with all company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations for the Vision Center, including asset protection, safety controls, operational reviews, and developing action plans for improvement. The manager provides supervision and development opportunities for Vision Center Associates, including hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, providing recognition, and fostering a sense of belonging. Additionally, the manager ensures the provision of quality eyewear by consulting with and educating members/customers, selecting products, maintaining confidential information, performing minor frame repairs, and maintaining optical equipment. The role also involves upholding the company's Open Door Policy by addressing associate concerns and coordinating job-related activities by building relationships with stakeholders and supporting business initiatives.
