About The Position

The Vermont Veterans' Home is currently recruiting LNAs to join a compassionate team dedicated to providing best in class care to our Country's Veterans, their spouses, and Gold Star Parents. We are dedicated to providing a professional and fun environment where staff may thrive and grow all while giving back to our Nations Heroes. Our staff provide person-centered, trauma informed care to residents with a wide range of physical and psychiatric disorders. This job is a 32 hour a week position and requires a commitment of every other weekend. Starting pay may be negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Shift differentials apply to evening and weekend hours. This position involves patient care and treatment work at the aide level in a long-term care setting, working an assigned shift. Work assignments are performed under the direction of a Licensed Practical Nurse and/or Registered Nurse. In-service training courses are required, and staff are encouraged to pursue continuing education.

Requirements

  • Possession of (or eligible for) licensure as a Vermont Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA).
  • Must maintain licensure as a condition of employment.
  • Overtime work is required to maintain minimum staffing levels per regulation and is a condition of employment.
  • The ability to work overtime as required is considered an essential function of this job class.
  • Candidates must pass a fingerprint supported background investigation.
  • Candidates must pass a Vermont and/or national criminal record check.
  • Candidates must pass an Office of Inspector General exclusion database check.
  • Candidates must pass motor vehicle driving record checks.
  • Candidates must pass adult and child abuse registry checks, as appropriate to the position under recruitment.
