UPMC is seeking a Part-Time Nursing Assistant to join their 3 Main Acute Care Unit at the McCandless location. This role is a valued step in the UPMC Inpatient Patient Care Support Career Ladder, offering opportunities for growth and advancement. Nursing Assistants typically work 20 hours per week, covering various shifts including daylight, evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts, with hours potentially varying by unit. Prior patient care experience is highly preferred. Hired candidates will undergo up to two weeks of classroom-based and unit-based orientation. The Nursing Assistant provides routine patient care and supports department services, ensuring high-quality patient care. Key responsibilities include performing UPMC nursing core nursing assistant duties such as ADLs (bathing, feeding, transporting, toileting, ambulating, turning and repositioning patients), point of care testing (including blood glucose), weights, vital signs, I&O, telemetry monitor application/reapplication, HAC & PSI prevention (TEDs/SCDs), and clean catch/mini catheter urine collection.
