Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth! Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Part Time Licensed Nurse (Days) at Fort Myers Academy in Fort Myers, FL. Ft. Myers Academy (FMYA) is located in Fort Myers, Florida. We are a moderate risk, all-female program, contracted through the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice, which offers comprehensive care and treatment, specializing in evidence-based intensive mental health services. The academy offers qualified supervision hours. We are dedicated to providing high-quality care in a serene and supportive environment, designed to promote healing and recovery for individuals facing mental health challenges. With a focus on evidence-based practices, Ft. Myers Academy ensures that each client receives personalized, effective treatment tailored to their specific needs. Requirements
- Possess a current Licensed Practical Nursing Credential from Florida.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be able to pass a criminal background check.
- Be able to pass a drug screening.
- Be able to pass a physical.
- Be able to pass TB testing.
- Be able to pass a search of the child abuse central registry.
Responsibilities
- Provides for the general health care of the students within the scope of your license.
- Administering immunizations, assisting with TB screening, flu vaccines, and overall health maintenance of students and staff.
- Assist with training employees regarding relevant health care topics such as prevention of sports injuries, blood borne pathogens, CPR, First Aid, and behavioral disorders.
- Assist in ordering supplies, pharmaceuticals, and other medical equipment for the medical team.
