About The Position

This position involves assisting in providing nursing care and related non-professional services to residents by performing tasks for which the employee has been prepared as competent and in a manner that meets or exceeds state, federal, and facility expectations. The role is based at Helen Porter Rehabilitation & Nursing, an attractive, secure residence located in the farmlands of Middlebury, Vermont. Helen Porter has accommodations for 105 people, is licensed by the state of Vermont, and certified by Medicare and Medicaid. It is a skilled and intermediate care residence specializing in providing a home-like environment across various neighborhoods, including Memory Care (Lemon Fair Lane and Waits River Way), Long Term Care (Otter CreekPlace), Post Acute/Rehabilitation (Short Term Care), Respite Care Services, ARCH Hospice, and End-of-Life Care. This specific role is within the Memory Care neighborhood.

Requirements

• Completion of state approved training and competency evaluation (for LNA certification)
• Able to read, write, and speak English language
• Able to communicate and work effectively with others

Benefits

• A $1,000 LNA sign-on bonus (subject to applicable taxes) is available for this position. The first half is payable after successful completion of the probationary period (typically 90 days), and the second half is payable after six months.
