About The Position

The Licensed Nurse Assistant (LNA) position at Porter - Helen Porter Nursing Home, specifically in Memory Care, involves assisting in providing nursing care and related non-professional services to residents. It accommodates 105 people, is licensed by the state of Vermont, and certified by Medicare and Medicaid. The facility provides a home-like environment and specializes in Memory Care, Long Term Care, Post Acute/Rehabilitation, Respite Care, ARCH Hospice, and End-of-Life Care. This position is full-time, working evening shifts, and is a bargaining union position within the University of Vermont Health - Porter Medical Center system.

Requirements

• Completion of state approved training and competency evaluation
• Enrollment in LNA program (if not already an LNA)
• Able to read, write, and speak English language
• Able to communicate and work effectively with others

Nice To Haves

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred
• LNA with good work history in similar facilities preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing nursing care and related non-professional services to residents by performing tasks for which the employee has been prepared as competent and in a manner that meets or exceeds state, federal, and facility expectations

Benefits

• A $1,000 LNA sign-on bonus (subject to applicable taxes) is available for this position! The first half is payable after successful completion of the probationary period (typically 90 days), and the second half is payable after six months.
