About The Position

Premium Velocity Auto / Jiffy Lube (PVA) is hiring a Licensed State Motor Vehicle Inspector / Lube Technician. This role is crucial for ensuring vehicles meet state DMV standards and providing customers with confidence in their vehicle's safety. The position involves performing inspections, communicating results, and delivering essential preventative maintenance services, offering significant growth and earning potential for licensed inspectors.

Requirements

Valid State Vehicle Inspector License.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to perform all physical job duties (standing for long periods, lifting 50+ lbs., bending, reaching, crawling, climbing stairs).
Comfortable working in enclosed or semi-outdoor environments.
Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Perform multi-point vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with emissions standards and state regulations.
Document inspection results and maintain accurate records.
Communicate pass/fail results, recommend corrective actions, and advise service team on additional needs.
Inspect for wear, damage, faulty components, illegal equipment, and alignment issues.
Evaluate key mechanical systems, accessories, electrical circuits, and air lines.
Perform preventative maintenance (oil changes, fluid top-offs, light/wiper/brake/tire services).
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
