Licensed Mental Health Therapist - Hybrid (Spokane, WA)
About The Position
Excelsior Wellness Center is looking for a Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our VIEW telehealth program. This role will need to be local to the Spokane area and may have to work in different virtual and in-person programs based on program/agency need. As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist within the VIEW program, you play a crucial role in our mission to promote mental, emotional, and physical well-being in the broad community of Washington State. You will provide individual and group counseling to clients and their families. Your daily interactions with our clients make a significant impact by offering them hope, connection, and the knowledge that recovery is possible. You will collaborate closely with the VIEW team, contributing your clinical knowledge and guidance to enhance the quality of care we provide. Your role is instrumental in helping our clients regain control of their lives and work towards their wellness goals.
Requirements
- A Master’s Degree in Counseling or related field.
- Licensed and certified through Washington State Department of Health as an LMHC, LICSW or LMFT preferred; Associates required.
- Strong communication and active listening skills.
- Empathy and the ability to build trust with clients.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with clinical and counseling professionals.
- Dedication to breaking down the stigma surrounding mental health and substance use.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
Responsibilities
- Provide therapy and a safe, non-judgmental environment for clients.
- Provide high-quality therapy, including evidence-based practices when possible.
- Complete intakes for clients accessing our services.
- Collaborate with the VIEW team to enhance client care.
- Participate in team meetings to share insights and updates.
- Review client progress and provide ongoing therapy.
- Assist in the development of recovery-focused initiatives and programs.
- Contribute to the evaluation and improvement of VIEW services.
